The Application

A neurophysiologist will place electrodes on various anatomical sites on the patient’s body. Some electrodes will be stimulating electrodes and some will be recording electrodes. The electrodes are connected to a computer with software that is able to interpret the data, the Neurologist will then ensure that both the sensory and motor functions of the patient are maintained throughout the surgery.
